Elementary Korean is offered as a yearlong course that will introduce students to written and spoken Korean. Taught by a native-speaker instructor, the course is useful to students who may have spoken Korean at home as well as to those students who have no previous experience with this language.

Essential Capabilities: Intercultural Literacy
This course will focus on developing proficiency in Korean by addressing all skills of language learning: reading, listening, reading and writing. Throughout class activities, assignments and with the use of authentic materials, students will gain an understanding of new cultural concepts and values which will help them develop intercultural literacy.
