This interdisciplinary course draws on multiple approaches to understanding contemporary dance and the moving body from global perspectives. Much of the course focuses on the creation and performance of original choreographic material generated in class. This material will be performed both as in-class studio showings and at the Worlds of Dance concert. Students will spend the majority of class time collaborating and learning various movement possibilities. In addition, they will also learn by viewing, discussing, and writing.
