Great Books Unbound

This course will introduce students to great works of Western Culture--both written and visual-- and the different ways that a professor of literature, a historian and a philosopher might read them. Three College of Letters faculty will alternately lecture and take part in small seminars in which students will discuss the readings and learn how to turn their own ideas about the texts into effective writing.
