Nabokov and Cultural Synthesis

This course will trace the development of Nabokov's art from its origins in Russian literature by close readings of the motifs that spiral outward through his (principally English-language) novels.

Essential Capabilities: Speaking, Writing
Writing: Three papers will be peer reviewed. A fourth will be a 20-page term paper. Speaking: Students will base class presentations on guidelines and be assessed according to them.
