Modernism and Its Manifestos
ENGL 278
Spring 2007
Section: 01

Why were modernists so angry? This course will cover the genres of poetry and prose in British Modernism, and focus particularly on Eliot, Pound, Woolf and Lawrence. Students will read not just the primary literature but also the manifestos, broadsides and pronouncements that Modernist writers published.
